Cheerio Fiend

Bean loves Cheerios...and he loves the thrill of the hunt and success of capturing his prey :)

Daddy man

One thing I love more than my boys loving on me is watching them love and be loved by their daddy. So proud of my man and his love for his boys.

Video is from a month ago, but I am just now downloading videos off my phone. :)

Brown Bear

We did a preschool unit on Brown Bear, Brown Bear a few weeks ago. MJD really enjoyed it and our time in the library doing it. We've been playing , "What do you see?" when we're out and about. Apparently my reading the book over and over paid off :)

Our Days

Our days are filled with playtime and reading, school drop off and pick up, groceries and such. In the midst of all our daily chaos we are enjoying the cooler weather that we've been getting now and again.
Cheering on the big brother at soccer games....
Brothers driving cars....pretty soon they will fit side by side in a big one...hint hint Nena!

Big little man in his shiny wheels!

Sugar Cookie Awesomeness

Today at lunch Bean was treated to a corner of my sugar cookie from Publix...yes the ones with crack in them that I am thoroughly addicted to :)
Cookie?!?!?! What is that?
Yum....I like!
Oh, there is more on my hands.

Snap, it fell out....get it back to me....my mouth craves it!

Jumping Bean

I can't figure out how to rotate the video.....sorry. You get the idea. He loves it!

6 month bean

Hard to believe that 6 months has already flown by for our littlest. Seems like all we did was blink and half a year was over. Scary how quickly they grow up.

With that I am feeling a surge of happiness and each new day brings new excitement, adventures, changes, and learning experiences. And every time Liam learns or discovers something new I find myself smiling and then feeling a little tinge of sadness as I realize how quickly my baby is growing and not staying that sweet little babe from the first week of life.
At the 6 month mark.....

You weighed in at 16.3 pounds (27%tile)....a little low for your size, but I'm not to worried.
You are 27 inches....(79%tile).......this might be why you are skinny, cause you're so tall!
You are wearing 9 month clothing.
Nursing 5 times a day, eating 3 solid meals.
Sometimes those solid meals include 2 portions of food rather than one.
You certainly found your voice, and man is it loud!
You love to smile, and have a fantastic one :)
Still tolerating your brother rather well, and loving the fact that you know how to scream at him.
You love the Jump N Go.
Big fan of Cheerios.
Will only nap for a long period of time in the afternoon if you are in my bed and snuggled on my pillow. (Yes, I know I am spoiling you.)
Love to sit in your push car and go for walks.
Can now move all around the house in the walker.
Prefer to be standing than sitting.
Rolls all over the place, definitely not a stationary baby anymore, but not quite yet crawling.
Can hold yourself up in a sitting position for a few moments if propped up before falling down, but still not pulling yourself up on your own.
Big fan of your pipe, and now know how to put it back in yourself.
Grrr...still waking up at night.
Have 2 bottom teeth and getting 4 on the top :(

Without a doubt, one of our life's greatest blessings and a sheer joy in our home.

Birthday Celebration Part 3....The CEC Finale

Yes, I know this post is a little late...I have been lazy with downloading photos and have 2 small children to chase after all day. Even now, they are napping, where I should be as well.

To conclude the big celebration for our mighty 4 year old, he was able to bring his little crew of friends, 5 in total, to Chuck E Cheese for the afternoon. We had a great time, while this part of the birthday experience was probably not necessary, he sure did love it.
The birthday boy!

Big balloon, which has lived in our home far too long....just recently was able to dispose of it secretly.
Spiderman themed favors....we're big into Spiderman this year.
Rollercoaster simulation ride with his buddy Carson.
Dancing on stage with Kaci Sue.
His crew....It was supposed to be an all boy party....Weston was supposed to come but went home for a nap and Kaci Sue tagged along with the brothers. All was well, MJD likes her plenty :)
The TICKET BLASTER....heheh....MJD was supposed to go in as the birthday boy, but he panicked at the last minute and sent in Colby in his stead....maybe another time.
Getting crowned by Chuck E. Cheese!
On stage with the big rat :)
Happiness!

School Photo

MJD had school pictures this week! Love school picture time. He goes in all dressed up and we practice our smiling. Plus my friend Squeeze is the photographer and I love her photos!

Here's how this year's photo turned out :)

Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

Yesterday we went hunting for our family pumpkins, MJD had school pictures, and I shopped for fabric for new projects.

Today the weather is cool, rather chilly compared to yesterday. Bean wore pants and shoes!! MJD has been talking about marriage and asking questions. When Tim asked him who he was going to marry, MJD replied, "I don't know. I am going to have to ask God who to marry." Oh my word, what wisdom. Just melted my heart. She will certainly be a lucky lady.

Tomorrow I get to do a girls day and help out my girlfriend with her baby registry as we get ready for her sweet baby girl to arrive :)

I walked away to run into the bathroom real quick, when I walked back in he was already passed out. Guess he was a tad bit tired :)

Today

TODAY.....................
Today my little crew of boys enjoyed a family breakfast all together.....
My littlest ate oatmeal out of my bowl :)
My big critter is enjoying the Mercer Meyer series of books "Little Critter" from the library.....
I forced myself to slow down, savor the moment with my 4 year old and read books outside.
I was reminded that I can't always expect people to change, sometimes I have to change my expectations of people.
I cried because I miss my mama and family. This being apart can sometimes make things very lonely.
I felt God's peace and comfort in my sadness.
I listened to my big critter "read" his library books in the car. (I so love listening to him and the stories he makes, and listening to what he picks up on from us.)
I napped in bed with an adorable 6 month old who loves to snuggle me.
I prayed (again and again) for my husband to be blessed and favored in work and with business dealings.
Thanked God for two healthy and happy little boys.
Went on a date with my husband for pizza and ice cream, and left all children with the sitter, for the first time in 6 months!
Enjoyed reading the Scripture verses that are now decorating my big RED wall in my family room.
I purchased a very LOUD, CARS Sheriff a the Wee Cycle It sale, to make my big one happy :) (He went to sleep with it for nap and bedtime.)
Enjoyed fellowship from some wonderful new friends from Hitched.
Read through some devotional material from TableTalk that shifted some of my thinking and helped me pray for a sweet friend of mine whose father is very ill.

Fall Beginnings

While the colors on the trees aren't changing, we can certainly still tell that fall is around the corner. The weather is slowly but surely starting to cool some which is perfect for our Saturday soccer sessions as well as all the fall festivals and pumpkin patches that are beginning to take place. Which was exactly how we spent our Saturday together.

Building a tool box kit from Home Depot

Telling Santa what we want for Christmas.(I am amazed I got both boys there with no tears!!!!)

Sporting pants without sweating. Still not cool enough for shoes, don't worry, Nena.

Bounce wrestling with Jackson.

First family pumpkin patch photo of the season.

We are so ready for fall!

Birthday Celebration Part 2...Magic Kingdom

For MJD's big 4 birthday celebration we all headed up to Magic Kingdom. It was honestly a perfect day! The weather was wonderfully cool (for here in Fl.), the boys behaved wonderfully, lines were short and we were able to do his favorite rides and events multiple times. Even our worst experience in the park (being stuck on the people mover before park closing and having a rude attendant) turned into a wonderful blessing, as it ended up in a free day of park hopping the next day!

Papa and Grammy treated us to quite a wonderful day for the birthday boy!

Buzz Lightyear Space Rangers was a BIG hit with both boys, well I suppose all the boys really. Daddy even came super close to the max score possible!
Growing up to be a big strong man like his Daddy :)

Next big favorite was the Raceway Speedway. Thank God MJD won't get his license for many more years :)
The Astro Glider was fun, we were surprised MJD wanted to do it as it went up REALLY high and he's rather scared of heights. (This is also where Daddy left the camera in the ride and we "lost" it for a few hours! Praise Jesus we were able to retrieve it. Gotta love kind people at Disney.)
Both littles were quite tired right about the time the parade started, and since we had to go find our camera on the other side of the park, we took advantage of the train that went the length of the park.
Birthday boy took possession of the stroller for about 2 hours and napped like a king. At least he was happy and rested when he awoke and we all enjoyed some quiet time in AC at a little restaurant.
Bean was a BIG fan of the little fan! We had a great time teasing him while brother napped.
We were stuck on the People Mover....which ended up in free tickets. So while we waited the boys "played" together.

MJD even went on SPLASH MOUNTAIN, which he wasn't thrilled about after the fact as it scared him, but he was so brave. He didn't quite realize it would drop the way it did :)

All around wonderful, perfect, memorable birthday celebration of turning 4 with our new family of 4.

The Green Team

Today was picture day for our soccer team. While it was tempting, the prices for the "professional" photos were OUTRAGEOUS!!!! And as it turns out, they were just taken inside a white tent with a ball underneath them, so I don't feel like I was missing out by not ordering them. So before the game I decided to just shoot a couple myself.

He sure loves his new red ball!

The Green Machine

Foodie

Bean is such a food-a-holic! What a fun joy it has been watching him experience new foods, textures and tastes.
Not so much a fan of canned peas....it's ok, we're not huge pea fans in this house.
Much bigger fan of homemade carrots!
HUGE fan of ice for those silly teeth that have to come in.

My Shining Star

MJD has loved learning his Bible stories and doing crafts in church. A few weeks ago the children's department "took over" our church's service and each department in the children's ministry was on stage performing. The smallest Shining Stars sang "He's got the Whole World in His Hands."

Watching my sweet boy learn and explore faith in God and listening to him talk about Jesus and all the stories of our faith is one of my life's greatest honors.

Pizza Play Date

MJD and Abigail have been buddies since he was 6 weeks old....last might we had a pizza play date. They made their own pizzas, played, bounced on the trampoline, and drove around the kid jeep in the car. Such sweet friends. Love to see how these relationships grow over the years.
