Bean's First Birthday

My mind is still having a hard time wrapping around the fact that I just put to bed my little one year old! I made sure to snuggle in the rocking chair a lot longer tonight. We had a great day together doing the things you love the most :)

Eating a breakfast of Goldfish and bananas

Splashing in the tub....twice in one day nonetheless :)

Riding a moving ride with big brother at the mall.

Dinner at Chick Fil A with family....

(You were reaching for the candle and brownie we had for you, and Grammy quickly grabbed your hand and said "No" which freaked you out and caused you to break into tears....so the next picture isn't great because then you were scared of the candle and cake :/)

You were happy enough to open your present from MJD.....it makes music and lights up, which you LOVE!

And once you got some brownie and ice cream, you recovered :)

Of course I couldn't let the day end without a photo with mama, just the two of us :)

And Big wouldn't let the night be complete without making sure he was part of the ordeal.

Happy First Birthday to my sweet little love. You stole my heart the moment I laid eyes on you. Your early morning arrival one year ago will forever be seared in my heart and mind. Our family is abundantly blessed by your sweet laugh, silly grunts and killer smile. I don't know what it is about you, perhaps you remind me so much of your daddy, but you captured my heart in a most unspeakable way. Each and every day we share together is precious in my heart. You're my little shadow, and I love watching you grow, explore and learn about the world around you. I pray that God grants me a long life to see the man you will become, because I know whatever you do in this life you will do in a mighty way. I will forever be indebted to you for your life has taught me so much, grown me in so many ways, and molded me into such a better person.

11 month Bean

I know it's the final hour....and I confess..this photo was just taken before bed. 12 hours before the Bean becomes 1 year old and I am just now doing his 11 month post......it's denial.

At 11 months.....
You consume a lot of juice....crazy that we allowed it, but you are now a juice monster.
I finally weaned you :( But it was time.....
You are doing great with your milk sippy and know how to feed yourself at night time.
You are furniture surfing like crazy and beginning to scale furniture! Oi!
If you don't know what you are doing, you will stand on your own for a few seconds :)
8 teeth (4 on top and bottom) and I think more are coming in.
You love toys that make music
When you get really excited about something you stand on your knees, ball your hands into fists and bounce up and down. It is super cute :)
At the mall you suck down a smoothie until you are shivering and even then don't like to put it down.
You love to snuggle right up into the crook of my neck and sigh like life is perfect, it melts my heart.
You have a terrible loud scream when you want to let the world know you aren't happy.
You grunt when Daddy is around, and he in turn grunts back to you and then you smile and grunt again. Must be some kind of man code :)
You have learned that MJD and Daddy wrestle as soon as Daddy comes home and now you scream to participate with the big guys. They go easy on you :)
Taking these sticker pictures of you in your chair is becoming crazy difficult!
You fill our world with so much joy every day.

PCUMC Easter Event

What makes for a great family morning???
Pony rides, egg hunts, Easter bunny, bounce houses and face painting, of course :)

Wicked Girls Night Out!!!

Casie won two free tickets to Wicked The Musical....since her hubby didn't want to go she asked me :)

So the guys watched the kids, we dressed up and drove down for the fun!

And the tickets were for great seats!!!

Book fair

I love books....library time and reading to my boys....and of course this week at preschool is Book Fair week....so we go with $20 in hand to buy books this morning and my sweet big guy is obsessed with just this book.... Ok, it is to support our school, why not...but $15 for a book with hardly any words was hard for me to swallow!
So I caved and he won! He was so happy and I had so hard to fight against all of that wanted to stop him an buy books I thought he should have.

So we will read about Dogs with no words and make our own stories and protect this precious book from the little one.

The Many Faces of Mr. Mason

A very sweet girlfriend did us a huge favor this morning and she was kind enough to bring along a camera and take a couple of spur of the moment shots of my boys. I sometimes feel that I try so hard to make sure I don't do the "no pictures of the little one" thing that happens a lot with the second children, so I have tried to be fair in taking photos of both boys. And in all honesty....if you know my big one you already know he's not going to let you ignore him.

There is something so remarkable to me about seeing pictures of my guy taken by another photographer. Almost makes me jealous that they were able to see him through their lens and capture the shot I missed. But anything to get a shot of my sweet love.

When in the world did he get so grown up, so mature, so wonderful?

My friend said she thought about a collage and calling it the "Many Face of Mr. Mason." Which to me is funny because every photographer has said something along those lines. He certainly has "many faces" and while some drive me bonkers.....I sure do love each one!

Peak.... Today, after a couple of hours at Chuck E. Cheese for a birthday party, my man took me to Joanns, Hobby Lobby, Target and topped it off with burgers at Five Guys

Pit.....5 days of hard core workouts at the gym

Prayer....Bless and protect our marriage over the next few weeks as some major changes begin to develop and we make some serious decisions.
